Jen…love your blogs…since you are onto something here may I add a few pet peeves? I think it’s time that we all learn a few other rules and etiquette in this new high-tech world we now live in.
    1. Emails, when forwarding a joke or a feel-good email please get rid of the huge long “Thread” of all others that forwarded it before you.
    2. Emails, STOP the stupid ChainLetter forwards!!
    3. Phones, hangup while in line anywhere!
    4. Phones, if a call does get disconnected, the person that placed the initial call is the one that should redial the call or you both end up calling back at the same time and get the busy signal.
    5. Phones, do NOT text while driving!
    6. Phones, NO DEEP MEANING conversations via texting, especially when in a relationship!
    7. Whew…there…I got those off my chest!

    Thanks Jen!!

These are great! Thanks for adding them. I am one who has recently realized I need to hang up the phone when in public. The guy in line at the grocery store doesn’t need to hear my conversation

    My email etiquette tips are:

    1. When sending to a group of people that don’t know each other well and don’t need to know who else got the email, use BCC – email addresses are private – I personally don’t want mine broadcast to everyone else to add to a mailing list that I don’t want to be on.

    2. Proofread!

    3. Spell Check

Sharon, Great points! And if you are mass emailing people for business promotions, give them an option to opt out!
